Bunnies are high maintenance livestock that need lots of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you might think not necessarily harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they do not like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. Thus before you choose the decision in rearing rabbits there are some guidelines that you have to learn.

– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are small rabbits that may be kept in small houses and are not best for producing meat. Again there are the bigger ones that desire a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are kept for the production of meat and breeding.

– When it comes to nourishing rabbits you should know that they are vegetarians, so one can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them rabbit pellets since they have lots of nutrients which will help them grow stronger and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa could be given to them as well.

– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them a house and a protective fence. Rabbit houses should be made from steel cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.

Rearing rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Simply manage them by offering them proper housing, nourishing them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
