– Determining what kind of breed you want to raise is your next step. Nigerian Dwarf or Pygmy sheep are recommended as farm pets but any other breed can do if you look after them.

– You should ensure you get more then one sheep reason being sheep are social livestock and like sticking together with other sheep. Your lamb can be mixed (males and females), but if you don’t desire your lambs to breed you can get your males neutered.

– Your livestock must be kept safe. This can be done by building a sheep house and fencing it as well. Fencing will keep out harmful predators such as dogs and foxes that can kill your livestock.

– Make it a point that your sheep are well feed as well. Sheep like consuming grass, weeds plus clover. You can also bring a vet every once in a while to evaluate your sheep and make it a point they may be getting the right amount of nutrients.

As being a happy sheep farmer requires one to care for your sheep. Give them good protection, give them food and clean water on everyday.
